2013 Smidge La Grenouille Cabernet Sauvignon

Magnificent colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark purple black hue. Lifted aromatics of ripe blackcurrant and dark plums are followed by underlying cedary tobacco nuances, a touch of liquorice and spice. Rich, very ripe blackcurrant and dark plum flavours dominate the palate alongside some liquorice with nuances of cedar and spice also present. Firmish finish solidly built grippy tannins. Excellent depth with a long aftertaste of ripe blackcurrants, dark plum, liquorice, earthy cedar and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
