2013 Reillys R Shiraz

Reillys have quickly established a tradition of generosity with their wines. As a result, they've earned a strong base of followers, especially for their 'R' series reds, with some previous vintages selling out in a matter of months. This is yet another ripper.

Rich, juicy and bursting with fruit this Clare Valley beauty really over delivers.

Matured in French oak for 18 months the wine pours a magnificent inky black colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. The nose offers up ripe black cherry and liquorice aromas followed by some blackberries, vanillin cedar and spice. Flamboyantly rich yet relatively tighter in structure than previous vintages the palate is flooded with ripe black cherries, blackberries and liquorice flavours over a background of toasty vanillin oak, spices and pepper. Solid but quite polished tannins provide the framework. Excellent depth with a long lingering aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, vanillin cedar and pepper. Fantastic Value.
