2013 Reillys Dry Land Sangiovese

This Sangiovese was blended with a portion of Reillys Dry Land Cabernet and underwent 18 months oak maturation. Very deep dark red black colour with a dark crimson red hue. The nose exhibits ripe dark cherry and plum top notes followed by some liquorice, light earthy cedar and spice. Full and very ripe the palate possesses juicy Morello cherry and plum flavours over liquorice, vanillin cedar and spice with things firming up on a dryish finish. Solid underlying tannin structure and bright acidity. Aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, earthy cedar and spice.
