2013 Main Divide Pinot Noir

Matured for 18 months in French oak. Showing good depth of colour for the variety the wine displays a very deep dark red black tinged core with a dark red hue. Perfumed aromas of ripe dark cherries and dark plums are followed by hints of anise, toasty cedar and spice. The palate has impressive weight and richness with flavours of black cherries and dark plums laced with anise over a background of toasty oak and dried meats finishing very spicy. Meaty texture with solidly built, slightly dryish tannins providing the framework. Excellent length with a medium to long conclusion of spicy black cherries, dark plum, anise and meaty cedar.
Cellar 5-6 years.
