2013 Koonara Angel's Peak Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

A richly flavoured Coonawarra Cabernet with good underlying structure making it a steal for the price.

Totally opaque black crimson colour with a deep crimson red black hue. Lifted ripe blackcurrant notes are intermixed with hints of dark chocolate and liquorice followed by light cedary tobacco characters and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses excellent richness with ripe blackcurrant and more subtle dark chocolate flavours flooding the mouth. Nuances of spicy cedar, light tobacco and a mint overlay are also present. Velvety yet structural tannins. Long aftertaste of ripe blackcurrants, choc mint, vanillin cedar and spice.
