2013 Claymore Wines Dark Side of the Moon Shiraz

Superb totally opaque inky black colour with a very deep dark purple black hue showing excellent intensity. The nose offers up aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries, black cherries and dark chocolate followed by vanillin oak and spice. Rich and concentrated the palate has a dense texture and is firmly structured delivering mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackberries intermixed with black cherries and liquorice with a background of vanillin oak finishing very spicy and chewy. Firm grippy tannins provide an excellent framework. Long aftertaste of liquorice, ripe blackberry, black cherry, vanillin oak and spice.
