After a short hiatus due to the wretched conditions of 2011, the Babe returns - looking more stunning than ever! 2012 was a magical vintage with textbook growing conditions supported by average winter and spring rainfall, followed by an extremely mild summer. Together with drastically reduced crop yields, the vintage produced a bounty of super concentrated fruit which was caressed for 24 months in 100% new French oak.

‘A well stacked, perfectly proportioned Barossa Babe complete with all the voluptuous attributes that we’ve become accustomed to in this decadent beauty.’

Superb totally opaque inky black colour with a dark crimson red black tinged hue. Intense aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries and dark plum are followed by subtle dark chocolate nuances, vanillin oak and spice. Full bodied the palate is packed with bold rich flavours and a dense opulent texture. Mouthfilling liquorice, ripe blackberry and black cherry flavours swamp the palate over a background of vanillin oak and blackpepper. The 2012 is a little firmer and more toned than recent vintages, yet the tannins still remain velvety in appearance. Outstanding concentration and depth with a very long aftertaste of liquorice, black cherries, vanillin oak and black pepper.
