2012 Peter Lehmann VSV 1885 Shiraz

Matured in French oak for 12 months this wine displays an opaque black purple colour with a deep dark purple crimson red hue. The nose exhibits vibrant aromas of fresh plums, blackberries and aniseed over a vanillin oak and spice background. Full bodied, rich aniseed and dark plum flavours dominate over some ripe blackberries, vanillin oak and blackpepper. Supple joosy mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins. Long aniseed, blackberry, dark plum, vanillin oak and pepper aftertaste.
