2012 Lindemans Coonawarra Pyrus

A Bordeaux styled blend made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Excellent colour displaying an inky black dark purple core with a deep very dark purple hue. The nose opens with cassis and ripe plum top notes followed by some liquorice, cedar and spice. Medium bodied, supplely textured rich blackcurrant and dark plum flavours are followed by a touch of liquorice, cedar and spice. Good acid and tannin balance with very fine grained velvet like tannins. Good depth with long aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, dark plum, cedar and subtle spice.
