Matured for a period of 12 months in old American and French oak puncheons. Opaque black crimson red colour with bright crimson purple hue. The nose shows good aromatic lift with scents of liquorice, blackberries and dark plum followed by some subtle vanillin oak and spice. Medium to full bodied in weight the palate possesses a rich joosy profile of blackberries and dark plums over some liquorice, toasty vanillin oak and spice. Soft supple mouthfeel, velvet smooth tannins and medium to long ripe blackberry, liquorice, toasty oak and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc 14%

Other Reviews…..
Bright purple-crimson, full and deep; the bouquet and medium-bodied palate are flooded with red and black cherry, poached plum and a farewell touch of licorice on the finish; there is ample structure to carry the high quality fruit. Great value.
