Dodgy Bros. is the partnership of a grower, a viticulturist and a winemaker who still like to do business the old fashioned way and seal all their business deals with a handshake. The fruit for this wine was sourced from 2 different vineyards about 1km apart in the Sellicks Foothills sub region of McLaren Vale with maturation taking place in a mixture of 5 year old French barriques and one new American hogshead for a period of 14 months.

‘Dodgy by name but not by nature, this superb McLaren Vale Shiraz displays all the hallmarks of a great vintage.’

Totally opaque inky black crimson colour with a dark purple red black tinged hue. Expressive nose with scents of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fill the nostrils followed by some dark chocolate, subtle vanillin oak and light pepper. Full bodied the palate boasts superb richness with opulently textured flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum saturating the front palate followed by some subtle vanillin oak and blackpepper on the back palate. Outstanding length and persistence. Sturdy yet velvety tannins provide an excellent framework and hold the wines copiously rich fruit in check. Very long blackberry, liquorice, dark plum, subtle vanillin oak and blackpepper aftertaste.
