2011 Highfield Pinot Noir

Semi translucent bright dark red colour with a light red hue. The nose shows good perfumed lift with scents of dark cherries, strawberries, anise and gamey meat like characters emanating from the glass with underlying cedar and spice. Light in body weight the palate possesses plenty of richness along with a good power wave delivering flavours of ripe dark cherries, subtle anise, some meatiness and spicy cedar. Slightly dryish finish with very fine grained tannins. Long ripe dark cherry, dried meats and spicy cedar aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years.
