2011 Dandelion Vineyards Lioness of McLaren Vale Shiraz

Matured for 18 months in French oak. Opaque black dark red colour with dark red hue. The nose shows good lift with liquorice aromas to the fore followed by some black plum, toasty oak and blackpepper. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses succulent liquorice and ripe blackberry flavours followed by some vanillin confectionary and a touch of blackpepper on the back palate. Supple mouthfeel with velvety tannins. Long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice and blackpepper.
