2011 Bouvet Ladubay Saphir Vintage Brut

Formerly owned by Taittinger Champagne, Bouvet Ladubay employs precisely the same wine making process as the Grand Marque itself, delivering French sophistication at an everyday price. The new vintage of our best selling sparkling pours well with a creamy white mousse that dissipates to reveal a pale straw coloured base wine with a very fine bead that shows excellent persistence. On the nose top notes of pear and baked apple are followed by some toastiness and subtle lees characters. Vibrant and fresh the palate has flavours of baked apple and pear followed by some toasty lees like characters and citrus on the clean crisp dry finish. Aftertaste of pear, citrus and some toasty lees.
