The Standish wines are produced by former Torbreck winemaker Dan Standish. Whilst the wines stylistically bare some resemblance to Torbreck’s in terms of concentration and power they are not quite as super ripe and display slightly more structure.

A formidable Barossa Shiraz that exudes class and power.

Spectacular, super saturated inky black purple colour with deep dark purple black hue showing superb glass cling. Aromas of ripe blackberry, dark plum and chocolate bullets burst out of the glass in decadent fashion followed by some cedar, confectionary and subtle spice. Opulently textured and possessing out of this world richness, waves of fruit flood the palate creating a totally mouthfilling experience. Flavours of succulent ripe blackberry and dark plum are dominate followed by some dark chocolate, liquorice, subtle smoky oak and spice. Outstanding fruit concentration and power are framed by solid yet velvet smooth tannins. Exceptionally long and persistent aftertaste of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice, subtle toasty oak, confectionary and spice.
Cellar this Magnificent Shiraz for 6-8 years (2019-2021).
Alc 14.5%

Other Reviews….
With a deep garnet-purple color, the 2010 Andelmonde is a little closed yet still exudes lovely, pure dark fruits and violet scents intermingled with some earthiness and aniseed notes. This Medium to full-bodied, single vineyard Shiraz shows great balance between a vibrant acid line and medium-firm, very fine tannins before finishing with long, layered flavors. It is a very classy wine. Drink it from 2015 to 2025+.
