2010 Peter Lehmann Eight Songs Shiraz

Matured for 18 months in 100% new French oak. Totally opaque inky black crimson colour with deep dark crimson black hue. The nose exhibits good aromatic lift with ripe blackberry and liquorice scents followed by some dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spicy mocha like characters. Full bodied with plenty of richness and a soft velvety mouthfeel the palate features generous flavours of ripe blackberries, dark plum and liquorice overlaid by some dark chocolate with undertones of toasty vanillin oak and some spice on the finish. Silky smooth beautifully integrated tannins. Long dark chocolate, blackberry, liquorice, subtlety toasted vanillin oak and spice aftertaste.
