2010 Hastwell & Lightfoot Shiraz

Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep dark crimson black hue. Matured for a period of 18 months in 20% new hogsheads with the balance 2nd and 3rd year hogsheads. Top notes of liquorice and ripe blackberry with an overlay of toasty oak and some spice end notes. Big and generous the palate possesses opulent flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate followed by some spicy toasty vanillin oak. Very fine grained almost velvet like tannins with aftertaste of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, toasty vanillin oak and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
