Hedonistic Shiraz.

The Standish wines are produced by former Torbreck winemaker Dan Standish. Whilst the wines stylistically bear some resemblance to Torbreck’s in terms of concentration and power they are not quite as super ripe and display slightly more structure.
Magnificent colour saturation displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark crimson red black hue. The nose exhibits an attractive aromatic profile of dark plums, ripe blackberry and dark chocolate followed by some liquorice, toasty bacon fat like characters and a hint of spice. Power packed and densely concentrated the palate is over loaded with opulent dark plum, ripe blackberry and dark chocolate flavours over some liquorice and toasty mocha oak. A voluptuous mouthfeel is complimented by silky polished tannins. Outstanding depth with very long dark plum, dark chocolate, mocha and vanillin oak aftertaste.
Drink over the next 6-8 years (2013-2021).
Alc 14.5%
