2009 First Drop Fat of the Land Ebenezer Shiraz

This dark rich opulent Barossa Shiraz was matured for 24 months in 100% new French oak. Totally opaque saturated inky black colour with very deep black dark red hue. Possessing excellent intensity the nose displays lifted aromas of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and dark plum followed by some mocha and vanillin spice characters. Very well endowed the palate delivers opulent flavours of ripe blackberry and dark plum followed by some liquorice, dark chocolate and spice. Supple fleshy mouthfeel with velvet smooth perfectly balanced tannins. Excellent depth and concentration with very long persistent aftertaste of liquorice, dark plum, dark chocolate and spice.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
