Impenetrable inky black crimson colour with very deep dark crimson red hue. The nose shows good intensity with liquorice and ripe blackberry aromas to the fore followed by some dark chocolate, vanillin confectionary and toasty end notes. Full bodied the palate possesses ample quantities of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate and some liquorice with underlying toasty vanillin oak and spice. Sturdy supportive tannin structure yet fine grained. Long ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate and toasty oak aftertaste.
