2008 Gibson Australian Old Vine Collection Barossa Shiraz

Magnificent totally impenetrable black crimson colour with very deep black crimson hue. The nose displays an intense aromatic profile of liquorice, blackberry and confectionary followed by some dark chocolate and vanillin spice notes. Full bodied, well endowed and possessing enormous concentration the palate delivers rich opulent flavours of super ripe blackberry, liquorice, black plum and dark chocolate followed by an overlay of vanillin spice. The palate possesses slightly more weight and richness than the Eden Valley. Super fine grained velvet like tannins showing perfect integration. Superb very long persistent aftertaste of dark chocolate, blackberry, liquorice and spice.
Cellar 8-10 years plus (2019-2021+).
