2007 Henschke Tilly's Dry White

South Australia, AUSTRALIA
$14. 99
Bottle
$179.88 Dozen
ABV: 12.5%
Closure: Cork

A blend of 57% Semillon, 24% Sauvignon Blanc and 19% Chardonnay. Minimal oak was employed, (10%), with ageing on lees for 9 months in new and seasoned 225L French barriques. The remainder was kept in tank to preserve fruit characters and blended prior to bottling.

Very pale straw colour with slight green tinge. Aromas of fig, melon, confectionary and spice with nuances of lemon and toast. The palate is a little lighter than the nose suggests with subdued flavours of fig, melon, spice and citrus with some toasty background notes. Dry clean finish with moderate depth. Aftertaste of fig, citrus and toast. A commercial wine that comes across as a little bit flat.
