2005 Glenmore Cabernet Sauvignon

A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot that saw two years maturation in French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red black hue. Pronounced aromas of ripe blackcurrant intermingle with cedary tobacco characters and are followed by a hint of leather, earthy black olive and spice. Rich and silky the full bodied palate possesses generous ripe blackcurrant flavours over a background of earthy cedar, cigar box, leather and spice. Very fine grained well integrated tannins. Long aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, earthy cedar, leather and spicy cigar box.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
