Totally opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. The wine has excellent saturation and clings to the walls of the glass. Superb, lifted nose of vanilla, blackberry, liquorice, spice and violets. The palate flavours are generous with vanilla, liquorice, blackberry and spice evident. Excellent weight, but only moderate power. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spice, black pepper, blackberry and vanilla.

Other Reviews...
Kaesler’s deep ruby/purple-tinged 2004 Shiraz Stonehorse (100% Shiraz aged in a combination of French and American oak) exhibits a big, sweet nose of blackberries, cassis, pepper, and spicy oak. Its opulent, richly fruity, full-bodied, yet well-balanced style suggests it will drink well for 10-15 years.

Strong colour; a powerful array of black fruit and supporting oak and tannins; oak hidden until the last moment, when its snout appears.
