2004 d'Arenberg The Olive Grove Chardonnay

A generous McLaren Vale Chardonnay. Bright deep straw colour with straw hue. Aroma of melon, tropical fruit and peach followed by a touch of yeast lees. The palate has good weight and mouthfeel, with creamy texture. Flavours of tropical fruit and peach with a touch of citrus on the back palate. Aftertaste of citrus and tropical fruit.

The 2004 The Olive Grove Chardonnay (one-third barrel-fermented and some put through malolactic) possesses good texture along with lemon butter, honeysuckle, pear, and lemon grass notes. With fine ripeness, medium body, and little evidence of wood, it will drink well for 1-3 years.
