The Leasingham Bin 61 Shiraz has proven to be consistently one of the country’s best value for money Shiraz and the 2001 vintage continues that strong tradition. The wine was matured for 18 months in a combination of American (70%) and French Oak (30%). This is an outstanding Bin 61. Totally black purple colour with paint like cling to the glass. Aroma of dark chocolate, cedar, truffle and plum with liquorice and mocca end notes – a classic Clare Valley Shiraz sniff. The palate has plenty of weight with flavours of mocca, dark chocolate and plum evident followed by hints of white pepper on the back palate which tends to linger very long into the aftertaste. Exceptional Value. Stocks are limited.
