2000 Rosemount Estate Orange Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
The Rosemount Orange Vineyard was planted in 1989 on the foothills of Mount Canobolas which is at a elevation of 875-900 metres above sea level. The soils are composed of red volcanic and loess.
Bright crimson colour with mauve hue. Medium body. Aroma of ripe stewed fruit followed by a distinct end note of cedar and blackcurrant. The palate displays a ‘Bordeaux like’ structure, with the Cabernet component delivering distinctive blackcurrant and spice flavours over a cedar background. Fine grained tannins, quite dry but balanced, followed by a blackcurrant spice aftertaste.
Cellar 2-3 years (2005-2006)
