1994 Adelphi Tobermory 20 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Produced at the Tobermory distillery, the only distillery on the picturesque hebridean Isle of Mull. This unusually old, natural strength release was sourced from a single Sherry cask yielding 234 bottles.

Tasting note: Bright gold. Latex balloons. Old pencil eraser. Burnt wax? Several minutes exposure refuses to budge the rubbery edge. Later inspection hints at cabbage water then finally more attractive scents of light choc-fudge and vanilla peek through. Slightly bitter, thin and hot with the peppery qualities almost concealing the underlying chocolatey malt. Hints of latex in the finish. Concludes fairly fleeting, eclipsed by the drying oak.
