1953 Damoiseau Rhum Vieux 35 Year Old Agricole Rum (700ml)

For rum purists the good news is we have recently imported a selection of Damoiseau's rums with no wholesale margin in the pricing. Our focus is on their extended wood aged and vintage expressions. All rums on offer have been matured for a minimum of three years in 180 litre x-bourbon casks. This is a rare opportunity to take advantage of some unique rum experiences while extending your support to the plight of cane workers and artisans as opposed to the standardised sway of mega-farms, industrial scale stills and ad men. It's a win-win scenario that makes for a refreshing change.

This ultra aged expression from Damoiseau has matured for 35 years in 180 litre x-Bourbon barrels followed by a further 15 years in a 2000 litre oak vat. It was bottled in 2003. Only 400 bottles of this remarkable spirit remain. We have secured a handful for the Australian market. Given the incredible prices being fetched for some luxury rums of similar ilk (read $25,000+) this is a relative bargain. 42% Alc./Vol.
